While working on the Star Beasts Spelljammer product for the DMsGuild, I could not find stock art to match the scale and size of the monstrous threats I was presenting. As a small supplement from an independent game developer, I also did not have the budget to devote to consigning art from an artist.

I decided to generate images for inspiration from MidJourney, a Discord bot that generates images based on text prompts. There are genuine ethical concerns about the use of such tools, but I still find the images inspiring. I’ve provided them here in this gallery for reference – they do not appear in the product itself nor in the marketing of the product (except for a link to this page in the product description at DMsGuild).
